As of 21 July 2025, Shopee has officially implemented its revised fulfilment policy that recognises Saturdays as fulfilment days for all local managed sellers in Malaysia. Previously, only Preferred and Mall sellers were subject to this policy. Now, Shopee has extended it to all sellers under account management i.e., those assigned a Relationship Manager, regardless of whether they hold a Preferred or Mall status.

What Shopee’s New Policy Means

With this policy now in full effect, Saturday is treated as a working fulfilment day for all managed sellers. This means sellers are expected to process, pack, and hand over orders on Saturdays, just like they would on a weekday.

If sellers don’t ship out orders that are due on a Saturday, they can be penalised. Specifically, these performance metrics may be affected:

Shopee has also updated the platform’s Seller Centre system to reflect this new rule. So now, your dashboards (like Account Health, Orders, and Shipment pages) will calculate your performance with Saturday included as a fulfilment day. If you skip Saturday, it may immediately show up as a performance drop in those metrics.

How Shopee’s Fulfilment Days Are Calculated

The policy takes into account different regional weekends across Malaysia:

How This Affects Shopee Managed Sellers

This change means that even if your team doesn’t usually work on Saturdays, you’re still expected to process and ship out orders scheduled for Saturday handover. If you skip it, Shopee will still count it as a missed fulfilment, and your performance scores like Late Shipment Rate and Fast Handover Rate may be affected.

To stay on track, Shopee advises sellers to closely monitor the "To Ship" page in Seller Centre. Use the “Sort by Ship-By-Date (Oldest First)” filter to identify which orders are due soon, this helps you avoid last-minute issues or SLA penalties.

If your current logistics partner doesn’t operate on Saturdays, you’re not stuck, you can submit a request to switch to one that does, so your parcels can still be handed over without delay.

Why the Change?

Shopee introduced this change to help sellers avoid order congestion after the weekend. Without Saturday as a fulfilment day, many sellers were pushing all shipments to Monday, which often led to delays, missed deadlines, and lower performance metrics.

By allowing sellers to process and hand over orders on Saturdays, Shopee aims to spread out the workload, especially for high-volume stores. This makes operations smoother not just for sellers, but also for logistics partners and customers waiting for their parcels.

If your business faces challenges adapting to this schedule, you’re encouraged to contact your Relationship Manager for help in adjusting your operations or exploring available options.
